Wurf Resourcing is offering a leadership opportunity for a driven, motivated and accomplished Insurance Works Project Manager who can represent a successful track-record in driving both project and operational performance across commercial, large loss and complex loss projects.

With an enviable and growing profile as one of Australia’s premier Insurance Builders, our Client has created this new position to;

  • further invest in their higher-end delivery capabilities,
  • provide additional support and mentoring for their developing project managers and supervisors, and
  • contribute to the further growth, continuous improvement and strategic capability of what is an expanding division within a large construction entity.

Projects delivered are typically classed as ‘light commercial’ (think retail complexes, restaurants, bowls clubs, industrial sheds, townhouses and strata works up to $5M) with additional expansion opportunities into the small Government works (refurbishment, maintenance, facilities upgrades, repurpose / refit, upgrades) sector.

This is a senior opportunity in a niche market and as such, we are looking for a specialist insurance works professional to lead project delivery.

Critical to the position, will be the ability to support and motivate teams, manage performance and represent the company in Client and stakeholder dealings. You will hold accountability for conversion, procurement, financial project controls and delivery in what is a KPI and metrics-driven environment, with formal systems established and stringent reporting requirements in place.

Accordingly, you should be able to address the following criteria in your application;

  • Formal project management experience within the commercial insurance works, rectification and remedial works market.
  • The ability to write and control formal scopes of works, undertake programming when required, and budget establishment / control on projects.
  • Accountability for the complete carriage of claims from conversion to handover.
  • Formal project reporting and analysis of performance metrics.
  • The ability to provide professional representation to stakeholders (including corporate Clientele, the Insurers, Loss Adjustors and the Insured), equally demonstrated through strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Stability of tenure throughout your professional career.
  • Preference will go to those who have elevated through formal contract administration ranks into project management.

Complimenting your experience should be trade or tertiary qualifications in Construction, though consideration of relevant pathways will be applied.

On offer is an opportunity to join what is an extremely successful and profitable business. A market competitive six-figure remuneration package will be on offer commensurate with experience, as well as the opportunity to be rewarded in line with business and personal performance.

Applicants wishing to be considered, should address the above criteria in a Cover Letter and CV which can be forwarded via the Apply button to Joe Wurf at Wurf Resourcing (07) 3367 2066.
