Building Cadet / Jrn CA

« Back to jobs listing
Location: Brisbane , Qld
Sectors: Construction
Type: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable

We are looking for a life-partner – are you??!!

If you are embarking on your pathway in construction and the notion of developing your career with a single entity resonates, then this one could be for you. As an indication of the working environment, more than half the employees have been with the company for over 5 years.

As an alternative from the unrelenting hours, aggression, volatility and egos of the heavy-commercial construction market, our client is offering a truly sustainable career pathway towards project management.

As a Cadet / Jrn Contract Administrator, you will support the Operations and Project Managers to undertake formal contract administration functions utilising formal company reporting systems. You will also have the opportunity to work across / learn all aspects of the wider business, receiving mentoring / training in pre-construction, design coordination, estimating, procurement and site coordination – all culminating in the ability to run your own projects as a junior project manager when confident.

Projects typically consist of multi-million dollar refurbishments / fit-outs and some structural builds of highly automated, smart access, industrial and storage facilities.

In time you will also have the opportunity to travel if desired, to review projects both Nationally and Internationally (New Zealand), as you will be joining a global operator.

We are seeking applicants with 2-5 years years’ built environment experience already based in Brisbane. You may be currently studying a relevant construction discipline or have completed a carpentry trade and looking for a project management pathway.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, positive, self-starter, who represents strong communication skills (written and verbal).

You will be afforded an excellent base salary package, with further training, mentoring and promotion opportunities based on output rather than time in the role. Most important; you will join a supportive / positive environment that actively encourages staff to maintain a 40-hour work week and achieve work / life balance.

Sound like you?
